JAMMU, Sept 21: MHAC School Nagbani celebrated 119th Birthday of its founder Maharaja Hari Singh with great enthusiasm and fervour, here today.
The celebrations started with floral tribute paid to Maharaja by the Chairman of The School LMC, Capt Dewan Singh, Principal Alok Betab, besides staff and the students.
A ‘havan’ was performed by all present on the occasion and ‘prashad’ distributed among the participants.
Keeping alive the philanthrophic spirit of its founder, the School invites every year some underprivileged Schools to participate in the festivities.
This year 95 students from Ram Chander Memorial School Batehra and Samaj Kalyan Kendra School for Hearing impaired were invited.
The students took part in ‘havan’ and were served packed snacks.
100 blankets in addition to eatables etc. were donated for the flood affected areas of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Capt Dewan Singh narrated the incidents of the life of Maharaja Hari Singh.
