SRINAGAR, June 24: Union Special Secretary, Internal Security, Ashok Prasad and Joint Secretary (Kashmir), Ministry of Home Affairs, Rajit Punhani, called on Director General of Police K Rajendra at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here this afternoon.
The visiting Union Secretaries discussed various professional issues with the DGP and shared their views. Prasad had served as State DGP for two years and was repatriated to the Centre after Rajendra took over as DGP J&K last year. Ranjit is Incharge Kashmir Affairs in Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
The DGP briefed the Union Secretaries about security scenario in the State and arrangements made for smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Yatra-2015 commencing from July 2.
