Srinagar, July 2 : Weatherman has forecast mainly clear, “hot and humid” weather in Kashmir for the next three days.
An official of the Meteorological Department said that dry and hot weather will continue on July 3 and July 4. “Same weather as today is expected for July 3 and July 4”, he said.
The official said that the temperature on Tuesday may be the hottest of the season.
“From July 5 evening to July 7, intermittent light to moderate rain at many places of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
Srinagar recorded a low of 18.3°C against 16.9°C the previous night and it was 1.2°C above normal for the city.
Qazigund, recorded a low of 16.4°C against 14.2°C the previous night and it was 0.9°C above normal for the gateway town.
Pahalgam recorded a low of 10.2°C against 10.8°C the previous night and it was below normal by 0.6°C for the tourist resort.
Kupwara town, the mercury settled at 15.5°C against 15.2°C the previous night and it was above normal by 0.4°C for the town.
Kokernag recorded a low of 16.1°C against 16.3°C the previous night and it was 1.2°C above normal for the place.
Gulmarg recorded a low of 11.2°C against 11.0°C previous night and it was 0.3°C above normal for the skiing resort.
