JAMMU, Nov 12: Two persons including a MES contractor were killed in accidents here today.
As per police sources, a MES contractor namely Manjit Singh, son of Dalip Singh of Govind Pura Satwari was killed after his vehicle rolled down near Samadhi Morh Nagrota.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a youth was knocked to death by a J&K Road Transport Corporation bus near in gate of Railway Station.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for identification.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and the bus driver identified as Javed Ahmed Bhat, son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat of District Budgam was arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
