JAMMU, Nov 25: The merit list candidates under PM package protesting in front of Press Club Jammu continued their dharna on 48th day today.
The protestors, while raising slogans in support of their demands alleged that the Government has subjected them to a grave injustice after not issuing their appointment orders on flimsy grounds despite falling in the selection and merit list. They said that the PM’s employment package announced in 2008 has proved a cruel joke with them as for last many years they have been running from pillar to post for justice.
The protestors today warned that in case they are not given justice they will be forced to take an extreme step as they have lost patience due to callousness of the Government towards them. The protestors said that they fail to understand why the Government has adopted a discriminatory treatment with them while the other candidates falling in the same list and were having less merit than them were given the appointment orders and they are working on different posts in Kashmir Valley while these hapless 45 candidates were ignored. This is the sheer injustice and discrimination with them which they will not tolerate, they added.
These candidates have made an appeal to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha seeking his immediate intervention in the matter.
