NEW DELHI, Oct 10: Mentha oil prices advanced by 0.30 per cent to Rs 1,217 per kg in futures trading today as speculators engaged in building up positions, driven by surging demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October traded higher by Rs 3.60, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 1,217 per kg in a business turnover of 129 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in November edged higher by Rs 3.30, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 1,231 per kg in 13 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by participants on the back of rising demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade. (PTI)
