NEW DELHI, JAN 29: Amid pick-up in domestic as well as export demand, mentha oil prices rebounded by Rs 7.90 to Rs 1,279.60 per kg in futures market today.
Besides, expectations of lower output this season also influenced the sentiment to some extent.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in January rose by Rs 7.90, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 1,279.60 per kg in business turnover of 725 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in the January contract moved up by Rs 5.80, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 1,266.90 per kg in 228 lots.
Analysts said apart from pick-up in domestic and export demand in the spot market, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also led to rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
