NEW DELHI, July 22: Mentha oil prices eased by 0.60 per cent to Rs 956.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators locked-in gains at prevailing levels amid sluggish demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August declined by Rs 5.80, or 0.60 per cent to Rs 956.80 per kg in business turnover of 151 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 4.30, or 0.45 per cent to Rs 942.70 per kg in 209 lots.
Analysts said emergence of profit-booking by speculators and muted demand from consuming industries in the spot markets mainly attributed fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
