Mentally retarded youth reunited with family

SAMBA, Sept 12: A mentally retarded youth was reunited with his family by Ghagwal police in Samba district today.
Police said yesterday, an information was received at Police Station, Ghagwal that one person between 26-27 years of age who appeared to be mentally retarded was roaming at Bus Stand, Ghagwal.
Acting on the information, a police party of PS Ghagwal reached the spot, traced the youth and safely brought him at PS Ghagwal. On questioning about his identity, the youth identified himself as Sunil Kumar, S/o Romesh Lal of Doridagar,Akhnoor in Jammu district.
Immediately, SHO PS Ghagwal after telephonically established contact with his family members and relatives who were later called at PS Ghagwal.
After proper verification and completion of all legal formalities, the youth was handed over to his legal heirs. The family members complimented the Police for their arduous effort.
