Mehbooba gave preference to chair over interests of J&K: Omar

SRINAGAR: Accusing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti of giving preference to the chair over the interests of Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah on Sunday said the Parliamentary elections would provide the right opportunity to the people to seek answers from PDP on the implementation of the promises it made, while canvassing for elections in 2014.

Addressing a public gathering at Larnoo Kokarnag, the NC vice president said that promises that were made by PDP during the run up for the 2014 Assembly polls, turned out to be big lies.

”People have every right to seek answers from PDP and its leadership. It’s high time for people to take account of past years of the PDP-led coalition Government. They had said that relations with Pakistan will improve, contrary to it, we have the clouds of war looming over us,” Omar said.
