Mehbooba directs immediate action on demands projected with her

KULGAM:  During her day long tour of the district, scores of people at several places met the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti today, apprised her about their problems and sought their redressal.

A Behi Bagh after inaugurating a receiving station, a large number of people met the Chief Minister and apprised her about their problems. They sought upgradation of the local school, augmentation of manpower and facilities at the local health centre and addressing the drinking water needs. They also sought opening of a bank branch in their village.

The Chief Minister directed immediate examination of the issues put forth with her and in time redressal of the same by the district administration.

At Adjan, after laying the foundation of a bridge, a large number of people met the Chief Minister and sought raising of flood protection bunds on the two sides of nallah Vishow.

After laying foundation of another bridge at Asthal, a number of people from the area met Mehbooba Mufti and demanded construction of a flood channel and other protection works. They also demanded affiliating their village with Kulgam tehsil and supply of electricity from Chawalgam receiving station.

The Chief Minister directed examining the demands for timely execution.

Minister for PHE, Syam Choudhary; Minister for R&B, Naeem Akhtar; Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf; Syed Farooq Andrabi; MP, Nazir Ahmad Laway; MLA, Noorabad, Abdul Majeed Padroo; officers of District administration accompanied the Chief Minister during her visit.
