Mega medical camp held in Arnia, over 400 patients benefitted

JAMMU, Aug 6: A free mega medical camp was successfully held in village Allah of the Arnia area in Jammu, benefitting over 415 patients.
The initiative was spearheaded by Dr Rajeev Kumar Bhagat, MLA Bishnah, and organized through the collaborative efforts of Shuvam Dogra, Chairman of the Dogra Helping Hand Foundation and Supinder Sharma, general secretary of BJP Arnia Mandal.
Top medical institutions including Fortis Escorts Hospital Amritsar, Ujala Cygnus, JK Medicity, and Sood Eye Centre (Dr Aggarwal’s Eye Hospital), Jammu, actively participated in the camp, bringing together a team of expert doctors to provide much-needed medical services to the underserved population.
Dr Rajeev Kumar Bhagat, who graced the event as chief guest, emphasized the importance of such health camps in bridging the healthcare divide in rural areas, calling them a “collective duty towards the needy.”
The camp offered a comprehensive range of services including consultations in Orthopaedics, General Medicine and Eye Care. Free check-ups, medicines, blood tests and sugar tests were also provided, greatly easing the financial burden on patients.
Volunteers from Dogra Helping Hand Foundation and BJP Arnia Mandal ensured smooth operations, assisting the elderly and differently-abled.
