JAMMU, Sept 3: An Inaugral week celebration is going on in GAMC Akhnoor in collaboration with the Directorate of AYUSH under the guidance of Principal, Dr. Shashi Sudan Sharma and Nodal Officer, Dr. Narinder Sharma, GAMC Akhnoor, Dr. Twinkle Gupta, Nodal Officer for AKAM ( for UT of Jammu & Kashmir), various medical camps and awareness drives are being conducted.
An Inaugral medical and surgical Camp was arranged by the Department of Shalya Tantra at village Parsoti where patients were attended and free medicines were distributed. The camp was attended by the faculties Dr. Sudesh Gupta and Dr. Sukrant Sharma.
Deptt. of Swasthavritta and Yoga arranged a medical camp at Rehari Colony for free medicine distribution, counseling and treatment of common non communicable diseases. The camp was attended by team of doctors including Dr. Abhishek Magotra, Dr. Sheetal, Dr. Piush Pargotra and Dr. Rahul Gupta.
A drive was also organized by Deptt. of Agad Tantra to encourage medicinal plants.
The event was organized by Dr. Harmeet Kour and Dr. Sreekala Vijayan of Department of Agad Tantra.
