RAJOURI, July 13: The post of Medical Superintendent is lying vacant in District Hospital, Rajouri for the last about one month after the retirement of Dr Anice.
On June 3, Dr Anice was shifted from DH Rajouri and in his place Dr Arun Sharma was placed as new Medical Superintendent , District Hospital Rajouri. Since then, the new MS did not join. The locals of the area alleged that DH Rajouri has turned headless and no proper OPD is functioning for the last five weeks. Even the other units are also not functioning well.
Functioning of the hospital has been deteriorated and staff has also turned careless in the absence of the administrator (MS). Insiders in the department said that Dr Arun was not interested to join his new posting at Rajouri and was looking for some other option.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat when contacted said that he was not aware of the mater and he would direct the Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Pathania to look into the matter and ensure that the post is filled up shortly.
