JAMMU, May 15: On the directions of Deputy Controller, Drugs and Food Control Organization Jammu, RS Pura police sealed a medical pharmacy for selling psychotropic substances.
As per police sources, a complaint was received against Ravinder Kumar alias Ladi who was running a medical shop situated near Gandhi Park by Police Station RS Pura stating that Ravinder Kumar is indulged in illegal selling of drugs/psychotropic substances to the young generation of the area on exorbitant rates for pecuniary advantage.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 190/17 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station RS Pura against Ravinder Kumar and challan of the case was produced before the court.
Recently, Ravinder Kumar was booked under preventive measure 110 CrPC and was produced before the EMIC RS Pura, where the EMIC RS Pura ordered to lodge Ravinder Kumar in jail for 10 days.
The matter was also taken up with Deputy Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization, Muthi, Jammu by the SDPO RS Pura, Sourabh Prashar.
Based on the recommendations of SHO RS Pura Inspector Chanchal Singh, the Deputy Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization, Jammu issued closing order of the medical shop till further order.
The order issued by the Deputy Controller was executed by the SHO RS Pura Inspector Chanchal Singh and the medical shop was closed till further orders.
