Medical Allowance at par with Central Govt employees demanded

SRINAGAR, Nov 6: Pensioners and senior citizens Forum in its meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of its general secretary, Sheikh Mohi-ud-Din Shilwati while highlighting various demands of pensioners of the J&K and Ladakh UTs urged the Government to settle them at an earliest.
The meeting demanded that the pensioners in J&K and Ladakh UTs be paid Rs 1000 as Medical Allowance on pattern of Central Government employees and pensioners, besides their other demands like release in allowance and giving special concessions in medical treatment in hospitals and also in transport fares be provided.
The meeting also demanded that pro poor policies be framed, the rising prices be curtailed as it has broke the back of common man and a fair treatment be given to every section of society.
Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Malla tehsil president, Mohammed Ramzan organiser and chairman of the Forum Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani also addressed the meeting.
