MDU submits memorandum to Deputy Commissioner

UDHAMPUR, May 1: A meeting of Mazdoor Dastkar Union ( MDU) was held under the chairmanship of district president Dharam Pal in which large numbers of mazdoors, mistris and dastkar from all parts of district participated.
The chief guest of the function was Mohar Singh Kangla (legal advisor to president). While speaking on the occasion Dharam Pal appealed the Deputy Commissioner to full-fill their long pending demands.
The demands raised were a Mazdoor sheds at different chowks in city, land for the office of Assistant Labour Commissioner , old aged pension @ 1500/- per months, free medical treatment and education to their children and implementation of Insurance.
Later, a memorandum was also submitted to Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur for early action. Others who spoke were Ishar Dass, Bodh Raj, Badri Nath, Bimla Devi, Dev Raju and Amit Kumar.
