MCD victory will pave way for Assembly victory: Amit Shah

NEW DELHI, May 2: BJP National President Amit Shah said here today that the party’s magnificent victory in Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections will pave the way for BJP’s victory in Delhi Assembly. He also said that the people’s mandate in favour of BJP marks the end of the politics of “excuses” and beginning of a new phase of constructive politics in the  union capital.
Amit Shah was speaking at a largely attended function at Civic Centre here, held to observe “Vijay Parva” marking the BJP’s recent victory in the Municipal Corporation elections. The function, among others, was attended by BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ram Lal, BJP Delhi Prabhari Shyam Jaju, the entire Delhi Unit of the Party including its office bearers led by President Manoj Tiwari and all the seven Members of Lok Sabha from Delhi.
Dr Jitendra Singh and Nirmala Sitharaman,Union Ministers, who were the National Team members for Delhi elections, also shared the dais.
Amit Shah, in his address, attributed the BJP victory to the hard work of each of the Karyakartas and particularly those who managed the booth and had a special word of appreciation for the manner in which the booth management was conducted during the election. He also profusely complimented the former Corporators and said they had demonstrated their discipline and commitment to the party by immediately accepting the Party leadership’s decision that the current election would be fought with new faces and none of them would be repeated.
Describing the importance of the recently held Municipal Corporation elections, Shah said, the entire country was watching it with keen interest because it was associated with the union capital of Delhi and also because it emerged as a referendum on the performance of the Kejriwal Government. Complimenting new Corporators who had first time won the election, he said, the work to serve the people of Delhi will start immediately.
Profusely praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah said, that we are lucky to have a Prime Minister who works 20 hours in a day and motivates his team also to work likewise.
Dr Jitendra Singh, later speaking to media persons, attributed BJP’s outstanding performance in MCD elections to focused and consistent hard work of each of the Karyakartas and lauded the Modi-Amit Shah duo, saying that the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the organizational stewardship of Amit Shah were not only the motivating factors for the party Karyakartas, but also inspired trust and faith among voters cutting across all sections of society.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image of trustworthiness, conviction and courage, coupled with Amit Shah’s approach had indeed turned a new chapter in the history of Indian democracy and given it a true grassroot identity.
