THATHRI, Feb 28: President Municipal Committee Thathri Mansoor Ahmed Batt and the councillors have welcomed the implementation of property tax in the UT of J&K.
President MC Thathri has expressed gratitude to the Government and District administration for the move. A resolution in this regard was passed and signed by all the Councillors of the MC Thathri.
The Committee members have unanimously expressed their gratitude to the district and Sub-divisional administration for the introduction of the provision of Property Tax,
The Committee in its resolution has said that the people-friendly property tax shall empower the Civic body and enable it to provide better services to the citizens.
Meanwhile, SDM Thathri, Er Athar Amin Zargar briefed the press regarding the Property tax. He said the tax with certain exemptions shall be collected annually and kept with MC Thathri for creating infrastructure and giving better services to the people of Thathri town.
