SAMBA, June 16: The Chairman of Municipal Committee Vijaypur, Deepak Kumar today demanded fixation of the rate of Laborers in Vijaypur.
Kumar in this regard has made an appeal to Lt Governor, G C Murmu seeking his immediate intervention in the matter.
Deepak Kumar while talking to reporters at Vijaypur today along with councilors of different wards said that due to the lockdown many laborers have left for their states but the present laborers are demanding extra charges to complete the work. Due to this the people are facing lot of problem as laborers are increasing the rate, he added.
He urged the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Girish Chander Murmu and Labour Commissioner to have look into the matter and fix the rates of the Laborers so that people are not put to trouble.
Neelam, Rajan and Bachan Lal was also present during the Press conference.
