JAMMU, Sept 8: Mata Bhuvaneshhori Asthapan Committee (MBAC) Chandpora Hawan solemnized Varshik (annual) Hawan of the Mata in the temple premises at Chandpora, hawan for world peace and property of human beings.
A large number of devotees drawn from different parts of Srinagar and Ganderbal attended the function.
Vedic Guru Jai Krishan Khar recited the Vedic Mantras and Kalash Pooja was performed by Manohar Chandpuri and Maharaj Krishan Mattoo.
According to a handout issued by the Committee, the Muslim community members rendered all possible help in performing the religious function. BJP MLC, Surinder Ambardar was also present on the occasion. The devotees were served with Prashad after Puranahuti.
It may be recalled that the Pandit Biradri of Chandpora is performing the annual hawan at the temple every year.
