JAMMU, Oct 23: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) here today staged a protest demonstration in front of Regional Labour Commissioner’s (RLC) Office at Gandhi Nagar.
The protesters raised slogans against anti-workers policies of RLC Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion BMS J&K president, Subash Verma alleged that working of the RLC is anti-poor.
He also alleged that RLC always played in the hands of employers and least bothered about the plight of poor workers who file their grievance in his office.
The BMS leader further said that in termination cases there is clear direction under Industrial Dispute Act 1947 that Conciliation Officer has to complete the conciliation proceeding within 45 days but RLC Jammu takes two months just to send notice to the employers and also humiliates the workers in presence of the employers only to please them for vested interests.
Another BMS leader Ashok Choudhary alleged that there are numbers of complaints about the working of RLC Jammu and he had even misbehaved with their senior leader Late S. Ravinder Singh.
He said that they will complain Union Labour Minister about the working of RLC Jammu.
Harbans Choudhary, Chuni Lal, Rohit Seth, Karan Singh, Sumit Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Bua Ditta and Roop Lal were also present in the protest.
