Mazdoor Dastkar Union protests for benefits of Govt schemes

UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: Demanding all benefits of Government schemes to the labourers and their families, Mazdoor Dastkar Union today held a protest demonstration under the leadership of district president Darshan Kumar at Vishwakarma hall Udhampur.
While addressing the protesters, Darshan Kumar alleged that the Labour Department for the last one year has not given scholarship to children of the registered laborers, who are studying in schools and Colleges.
He also demanded Labour Sarai (guest house), Rs 3000 monthly pension to the Labours, Rs 25000 financial assistance on the marriage of laborer children, Ayushman Scheme benefit by providing golden card to all labourers who have completed 60 years of the age, BPL ration to the BPL categories and free education to the kids of labour class by providing them books and uniforms.
Others who addressed the protest demonstration, included Kewal Krishan, Ajay Kumar, Nek Ram, Kartar Chand, Chunni Lal and Om Prakash.
