JAMMU, Dec 18: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta today visited Rajpura Mangotrian, Shiv Nagar and adjoining areas and started beautification work of platform around a Peepal tree there.
He also started the construction work of shed with sitting arrangements for the public.
These constructions will be completed at the estimate cost of Rs. 4.4 lakh.
The Mayor also started construction work of lanes at Rajpura Mangotrian at the estimate cost of Rs. 3 lakh.
After this, the Mayor visited the areas of Resham Ghar Colony along with Rama Kumari, JMC Councilor, Balbir Kumar Ballu, Prashant Puri, Vijay Malhotra, Krishan Lal and others and started construction work of lanes and drains near the temple to be completed at the estimate cost of Rs. 10 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion the Mayor said that construction and renovation of lanes and drains as well as installation of street lights by EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Limited) has been taken up by the department on war footing in each Ward of the JMC for the convenience of general public.
