JAMMU, June 2: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) along with Narinder Singh Jamwal Chairman Public Health and Sanitation Committee, Avny Lavasa, Commissioner JMC in collaboration with Directorate of India System of Medicines, Jammu (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Sidha & Homoeopathy) and Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu distributed Ayush medicines as well as various food items i.e. biscuits, fruit juice etc to more than 100 Safaikaramcharies of Ward No. 07 and 15 at Town Hall Complex here.
Arun Gupta president,Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anil Gupta its senior vice president, Rajesh Gupta secretary, Rajeev Gupta, junior vice president, Rajesh Gupta its treasurer as well as Dr. Suresh Sharma, ADMO Ayush and medical team comprising of Dr. Pawan Kumar, Kashish Sharma & others, Dr. Sanjogita Sudan Health Officer JMC, Rajinder Kumar I/c Sanitation Officer, Arun Nayar Sanitary Inspector and other staff members of JMC also were present during the function which was organized in a very simple manner keeping in view the guidelines of COVID -19.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor extended gratitude to the whole team of Chamber of Commerce & Industry as well as Directorate of ISM who are continuously providing essential food items and Ayush medicines respectively to serve the mankind irrespective of any caste, creed, gender or religion free of cost to the poor needy & downtrodden families in this crucial period of pandemic. He further said that Ayush medicines boost immunity and also keep a person safe from any type of infection and illness.
He said that the Safaikaramcharies are working tirelessly even putting their own life in danger while keeping every nook and corner of Jammu City neat & clean especially from the last one and half year since the outbreak of this deadly Pandemic and it is the moral duty of every individual to provide full cooperation in every aspects to these front line workers and also urged upon all the Safaisathies to take maximum benefits of such medicines which are distributed free of cost in the medical camps being organized in various Municipal wards time to time by the Department for poor and needy ones who cannot afford costly immunity boosters.
