JAMMU, Jan 1: Mausiqui Studios, Mumbai today announced the launch of ‘J&K’s biggest ever’ music based talent hunt ‘Shaurya’.
The announcement was made by renowned Jammu-Kashmiri music exponents, Naseem-ul-Haq, Shazia Bashir, Akshay Asthana and Raashid Zaffar Doodwal of Mausiqui Studios at a press conference here.
Akshay Asthana told reporters that Shaurya is a musical talent hunt conceptualized and organized by Mausiqui Studios with active support from local administrations and renowned Bollywood celebrities and legends like Sukhwinder Singh and Dilshaad Shabbir Shaikh.
He claimed that Shaurya is an initiative by Mausiqui Studios to bring masses and youth of J&K on a musical journey of fame, self-respect and pride.
“Apart from the cash prizes, identified talent will get an opportunity to perform and pursue a professional career via concerts, Bollywood and regional movies and with musical celebrities,” he maintained.
Asthana-founder of Mausiqui Studios also talked about salient features of Shaurya and said, there will be prize money of Rs. 5 lakh for winner band while zero registration fee will be charged from the participants.
He also said that keeping COVID-19 scenario in mind the audition will be both on offline and online mode in which 15 artists will be shortlisted by Sukhwinder Singh and the winners will be part of an exciting fusion band from J&K, mentored by industry legends like Sukhwinder Singh and Dilshaad Shabbir Shaikh.
“They will perform with Sukhwinder Singh at the culmination event on January 18 in Srinagar,” he maintained adding: “Mausiqui Studios will provide support and platform for the band to create its music album and perform in top national and international events for 3 years and a special music video will be made on the band and released internationally.”
A handout from the organizers stated that the auditions will be there from January 1-11 and the final performance will be held on January 18 at Srinagar in which the winning talents will perform with Sukhwinder Singh.
It further informed that Jammu city auditions will be on January 7-8, 2021 at Abhinav Theatre while Srinagar city auditions on January 10-11, 2021 at SKICC.
“The contestants should be a permanent resident of J&K or born in the Union Territory,” it further stated adding that contestant should be in the age group of 18-35 years and should be a vocalist or any instrument player.
