Major deep drains covered in Jammu West area: Sat

Jammu, Jan 1: Councillor Ward No 26 of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Hardeep Singh Mankotia today started construction works of lane and covering of drains at Subash Nagar area here.
He was accompanied by former J&K BJP President, Sat Sharma; BJP Mandal President, Raveesh Mengi; Mandal General Secretary, Sanjay Bhat; Mandal Secretaries-Jatin Gupta & Rohit Gupta; Sudesh Sharma, Pritima Sharma, Sandeep Jamwal, Vicky Jamwal and locals of the area.
A handout stated that the works will be done under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs. 7.30 lakh and the funds were allotted to the Councillor for that.
The BJP leaders also toured adjoining areas and interacted with the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said in today’s time when there is a dire need to maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness, it becomes the duty of everyone to aware others as well that how much important proper sanitation is in the pandemic times.
“Major deep drains are now covered in Jammu West Assembly segment and in routine they are also being cleaned by the concerned departments to ensure cleanliness everywhere,” Sharma maintained.
JMC Councillor Mankotia said Ward No 26 is sanitized in routine for keeping proper sanitation system and it can be seen from the condition of various areas in the Ward that cleanliness now prevails everywhere in all localities.
He also talked about the developmental works to be taken up in the Ward in coming days.
