JAMMU, Oct 17: Nav Yug Higher Secondary School today organized a Math Olympiad in the school premises, wherein about 326 students from class 2nd to 7th of Paramount Convent School and host school participated.
Managing Director, Nav Yug Higher Secondary School, Hardev Singh Jamwal was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, principal of the school, Preetika Jamwal said the main aim of conducting this workshop is to promote mathematics much better to children at every stage. She also highlighted the importance of mathematics in daily lives.
In 2nd class, Chiranjeev and Parth shared 1st prize, Rudher, Pranay, Vamakshi, Riya and Ridhima Koul shared 2nd prize while 3rd prize went to Mrighya and Mrighanka. In class 3rd, Apporva, Jaanvi, Anakeet, Aryaman and Damini bagged 1st prize, Adhayan and Sukhmanjeet fetched 2nd prize whereas 3rd prize went to Kajal Thakur, Manish and Tapasaya.
In Class 4th, 1st prize went to Khushi, Sanchit and Anmol, 2nd prize was bagged by Harsh whereas Kirtjeet, Arpita and Sarthak got 3rd prize. In clas 5th, Palak Maratha got 1st prize, Vanshikha bagged 2nd while Riya, Mukul and Ansh fetched 3rd prize.
In class 6th, Nitika Koul got 1st prize, Harsh Bandral got 2nd whereas Shubham Sharma bagged 3rd prize. In class 7th, Kajal Dubey fetched 1st prize, Riya, Vanshika and Mehul got 2nd prize whereas 3rd prize went to Radhika.
