JAMMU, Feb 16: A 3-day PTC Digital Film Festival started with full zeal and enthusiasm in Chandigarh.
The festival has been organized in association with Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura. The function began yesterday with the lamp lighting ceremony by Managing Director, PTC Network, Rabindra Narayan; Vice President – Programming at PTC Network, Renowned Actress Dolly Ahluwalia, Punjabi Actor Binnu Dhillon and Rana Ranbir; Chancellor, Chandigarh University, Satnam Singh Sandhu and Chairman Aryans Group Dr Anshu Kataria.
On the first and second day, screening of selected masterpieces from PTC Box office including Addhi Chhutti Saari, Chitthi, Azaab, Hari Chutney, Rabb Raakhaa, Channa Ve, Baroohan, Ji Janaab etc was done which got huge response from the audience. Workshops and auditions for the upcoming actors, directors etc were also organized to polish their art and skills.
Dr Anshu Kataria said that PTC Network has its roots not only in Punjab or India but worldwide. The initiative of the PTC to give a platform to the upcoming artists is commendable, he added.
On the 2nd day in the panel discussion, Executive Editor, Hindustan Times, Rabindra Narayan, Rana Ranbir, writer and Director, Jass Grewal participated and deliberated on opportunities in digital cinema.
