UDHAMPUR, Aug 30: To discuss the preparation of Master Plan of Udhampur town, the District Development Commissioner, P. K. Pole convened a meeting with the line departments.
The meeting was attended by the officers of Planning, PHE, PDD, PWD, Industries, Forest, Municipal Committee, Revenue, Railways, Education and Health Department. During the meeting, the consultants of M/s Tech Mech International Private Limited gave a detailed account of the preparation of Concept Plan for Udhampur town.
The DDC stressed upon the departments to submit the required data to the consultants at the earliest as per proforma which has already been distributed among the concerned departments so that consultant get the relevant data for timely completion of master plan of the town .He also asked the officers to review the different parameters already included in the plan pertaining to their respective departments.
Mr. Pole after going through the power point presentation suggested the consultants some more features to make the plan more meaningful which mainly included housing colony, railway line, existing notified jurisdictions, gas pipe line, solid waste management site, transport terminal, additional inhabitation areas near the close vicinity of the town and mini secretariat.
