SRINAGAR:Security forces have launched a massive search operation in the south Kashmir’s Shopian district where firing shots were heard from a forest area, official sources said here today.
They said firing shots were heard in the forest at Dobjan area in Pirpanchal range in south Kashmir when a security force patrol party was on move.
The area was immediately cordoned off and additional troops were rushed there, they said, adding that massive search operation has been launched to nab the militants, reportedly trapped there.
Details are awaited, they said.
