Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF) Sonali Mishra, who visited the family of martyred BSF jawan Ramzan Parray, today said that security forces and the local police have launched operations against the militants responsible for the killing of the BSF jawan.
“The security forces and the local administration are carrying out various operations to hunt the militants, who have done this dastard act. Security forces and police  are on the job. They have got the clues and are working on that. Lot of operations were carried out. Hopefully they would be successful”, she said.
Mishra said that security forces have identified the assailants. “The local police and security forces have identified. They will be the best persons to tell about it because they are still undergoing operations and investigation”, she said.
Sources said that four militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were involved in the killing of the BSF jawan. They include divisional commander of LeT Mehmood Bhai and his two associates Osma and Ali.
And Army, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a joint search operation in Hajin following a tip off about the presence of these militants, who were responsible for the killing of BSF jawan.
Security forces sealed all exit points and are conducting searches. However, no contact was established with the militants who killed BSF jawan Ramzan Parray and injured his father, two brothers and aunt in his house at Parray house Hajin.
Sources said that the militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness but the security forces are hunting for the militants.
The IG BSF praised the valour of the BSF jawan and his family for showing courage during the attack. “The visit was basically to meet the family and pay respect to our martyred jawan of the BSF family. It has been a very dastardly act. Ramzan showed lot of valour and fought with them valiantly and entire family also showed lot of courage. In this entire sad episode, the entire BSF family, the DG BSF, the Frontier, we all are with the family (of Ramzan), we are with them, extending all our support”, she said.
Mishra said that the force is providing assistance to the family. “We have immediately provided relief to the family and not only here and even in the hospital, we are taking care of father of martyred Ramzan. And, (injured) younger brother (of the martyred BSF jawan) is at Srinagar in Bemina hospital. We are giving all due care and assistance to the family and it is our duty also and we stand by the entire family”, she said.
