RAMNAGAR, May 29: A massive fire has engulfed around ten square kilometer forest area in the hills of Mata Chountra Devi temple in Ramnagar, here today.
The fire broke out yesterday near Plassian bridge and soon spread to entire forest compartment 30, which comprise a number of hamlets.
However, no loss of life has yet been reported in the fire while Forest Protection teams, led by DFO Chander Shekhar were trying their best to control the blazes.
The affected comprises a population of around 20 thousands.
