NEW DELHI, Mar 23: Masoor and its dal prices eased by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today on sluggish demand at prevailing higher levels.
However, other pulses continued to trade in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said sluggish demand at prevailing higher levels mainly helped masoor and its dal prices to ease.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold fell by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,100-4,300 and Rs 4,250-4,400 and its dal local and best quality traded lower by the same margion to Rs 4,800- 4,900 and Rs 4,900-5,000 per quintal, respectively.
The following are today’s pulses rates per quintal:
Urad 3,700-4,100, Urad Chilka (local) 4,550-4,900, best 5,000-5,500, Dhoya 5,500-5,700, Moong 5,150-5,650, Dal Moong Chilka local 5,600-6,000, Moong Dhoya local 6,000-6,100 and best quality 6,700-6,800.
Masoor small 4,100-4,300, bold 4,250-4,400, Dal Masoor local 4,800-4,900, best quality 4,900-5,000, Malka local 4,400-4,500, best 4,600-4,700, Moth 3,600-4,200, Arhar 4,150- 4,700, Dal Arhar Dara 5,850-6,050. Besin Rajdhani and Shaktibhog were quoted lower Rs 1,700 each against last close of Rs 1760 per 35 kg bag, respectively.
Gram 3,500-3,800, Gram Dal (local) 4,150-4,250, best quality 4,450-4,550, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,700, Rajdhani 1,700, Rajmah Chitra 8,300-9,400, Kabli Gram small 4,000- 6,100, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100; Lobia 3,500- 4,600, Peas white 2,600-2,625 and green 2,700-2,800. (PTI)
