Mason among two killed in mishaps

JAMMU, Feb 10: Two persons including a mason were killed today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a mason identified as Bihari Lal (32), son of Ganu Aharwal, resident of Madhya Pradesh, at present residing at Channi Ramma area of Jammu, was engaged in the work of installation of a heavy iron gate on the entrance of a private house in Channi Ramma, when it suddenly fell on him, resulting into his on the spot death.
The body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for post mortem while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, in Krail Manhasa area of Bishnah, a labourer identified as Inder Bahadur, resident of Nepal, at present residing in Bee Bee Rice Mill, sustained grievous injuries when he got crushed in a machine while working in the Mill.
The Mill owner immediately rushed him to GMCH Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The body was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem. A case in this connection was registered at police station Bishnah and investigations taken up.
