KISHTWAR, May 9: Kisht-war based Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Delta Force conducted last rites ceremony of Kishori Lal of 175 Engineer Regiment (TA Bn) belonging to the remote area of  Saroor region of Kishtwar district.
The martyr was given a final farewell with full military honours in presence of hundreds of people who converged to pay their tributes to the brave heart at his home town Dharbshala. Martyr Sapper Kishori Lal Rathore laid down his life on Saturday while carrying out the resuscitation of the anti infiltration obstacle system in Macchal Sector.
The slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ rent the air as the body of Martyr Sapper Kishori Lal Rathore reached his native place. The mortal remains of the soldier were brought from Srinagar to Kishtwar by Army Helicopter yesterday and were then transported by road to his native village Dhar.
A huge gathering of friends, families and jawans was present during the cremation. The cremation was attended by Commander, Rashtryia Rifles Kishtwar and from the Civil Administrationn present were Sandeep Wazir SSP Kishtwar. Mr Dewan Chand, District Sports Officer, Yograj SHO Drabshala and Jagadeshwar, Tehsildar Drabshala along with Panches and Sarpanches of nearby villages.
