Martand Tirath Trust holds meting

JAMMU, Jan 29: The Executive Committee of Martand Tirath Trust held a meeting here, today under the leadership of its president Ashok Kumar Sidha.
The meeting, while discussing the issues related to holy shrine of Teerath Raj Matan and Suriya Bhawan Paloura Jammu informed that Suriya Saptami -the birthday of Sun God falling on February 1 will as usual be celebrated by Martand Tirath Trust at Suriya Bhawan Paloura here and holy Shrine of Mattan in South Kashmir district of Anantnag where the ancient Sun temple exists as usual.
Sidha said functions will be held at both the religious places. At Suriya Bhawan Paloura Jammu a Maha Yagya will be performed as usual which will start on January 31 and culminate next day with Puranhauti. This will be followed by serving of Prasahd to devotees.
At holy shrine of Mattan in Anantnag district Puja -archana will be performed with religious fervor and gaiety and the devotees will be served with Prashad later, Sidha informed.
