Despite good performance J&K Volleyball team fails to enter QFs

JAMMU, January 29: Jammu and Kashmir boys despite showing good performance in the league matches, narrowly missed the quarterfinals berth in the ongoing 46th Junior National Volleyball Championship at Rajampet in Andhra Pradesh.
J&K won three out of six league matches in the ground but could not make it to the knock-out stages of the competition.
As per the reports reaching here, J&K won against Himachal Pradesh 3-1 (25-19, 25-19, 14 -25, 25-21 and beat Maharashtra 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-18) while in third match trounced Tripura 3-0.
In the league round, Umar, Shabir, Pankaj and Varun played well.
