As per a statement, Katra Resort is Marriott International’s 150th hotel in India.
Located in the tranquil settings of the Trikuta Hills, home to the revered Vaishno Devi Shrine, this exclusively vegetarian and non-alcoholic resort blends sublime service with spiritual enrichment.
According to the statement, the guests at Katra Resort can explore the local culture through nature walks and regional cuisine, enhancing their stay with the resort’s luxurious offerings.
“Opening our 150th hotel in India at such a revered site aligns with our commitment to thoughtful expansion and offering unique experiences,” stated Ranju Alex, Area Vice-President, South Asia at Marriott International.
She emphasized the brand’s sustained focus on growth through its robust pipeline of upcoming hotels.
The design of the resort draws inspiration from its serene surroundings. The Greatroom lobby, adorned with a central sculpture and ancient inscriptions, sets a mystical atmosphere right from the entrance. Each design element, from mandala-inspired lounge seats to intricate floral chandeliers, integrates local spirituality with stunning aesthetics.
Katra Marriott Resort & Spa boasts 100 modern guest rooms, including suites and cottages with exceptional views of the Vaishno Devi Shrine and lush landscapes. Premium cottages feature private balconies and swimming pools, offering personal havens of relaxation amidst natural beauty.
The Quan Spa provides rejuvenation with a blend of traditional Ayurvedic and modern therapies. Guests can also engage in morning yoga sessions or evening hi-tea rituals under the ancient Vat Vriksh, enhancing their spiritual and physical well-being.
Dining at the resort is an adventure in itself with TPK (Three Peaks Kitchen) offering global dishes alongside local vegetarian delicacies, and KBC (Katra Baking Company) serving artisanal teas and bakery treats.
Spanning over 12,000 square feet of event space, the resort is poised to host grand weddings and corporate events with its flexible venues and scenic backdrops.
“We invite guests to find solace, celebrate, or simply unwind at our new spiritual sanctuary,” remarked Satish Srinivasamurthy, General Manager of the resort.
