KATHUA, Aug 27: In continuation to the endeavor to thwart the evil designs of the bovine smugglers, Dy SP Ravinder Singh, SDPO Border along with SI, Vishal in charge Police Post, Marheen today succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid and rescued six bovine animals.
Acting swiftly on tip off, SDPO Border along with the team of Police Post Marheen today established checkpoints at village Banyari. During checking police seized a truck bearing registration number PB10BJ-6481 which was coming from Punjab side and was carrying bovine animals illegally.
On checking of the truck police rescued all the bovine animals, seized the vehicle and arrested the driver of the vehicle.
The Police registered a case FIR No 208/2018 under Section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act against the driver of the truck namely Karaj Singh S/o Gopal Singh R/o Amritsar Punjab.
