Manyal for increasing seats in erstwhile Doda

JAMMU, July 5: BJP general secretary and former Minister, Dr Devender Kumar Manyal has asserted that there is a dire need to increase the number of Assembly seats in Doda district to end the decades old injustice done against this region and its people by the successive Governments of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State.
He stated this while chairing a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers held at Patnitop in district Ramban.
Former MLA Doda, Shakti Raj Parihar, former MLA, Ramban Neelam Langeh, former MLA Bhadarwah Dileep Singh Parihar; BJP district president, Ramban, Rakesh Thakur; district BJP president, Kishtwar, Pardeep and BJP district president, Doda, Swami Raj and in-charge Parliamentary Constituency, Vipin Sharma were also present during the significant meeting.
The senior leaders of the party deliberated upon the pros and cons of the ongoing delimitation process in the UT of J&K in general and that of Doda in particular. After a hectic interactive session in which all the senior party functionaries presented their views besides spelling out their expectations about the outcome of the delimitation process, a proactive strategy was formulated to reach out to the general public right upto the grass roots level before holding of Assembly elections in the UT laying special focus on enhancing the number of Assembly constituencies in Doda.
While addressing the party leaders, workers and activists, the BJP general secretary and former Minister, Dr Devender Kumar Manyal asserted that the erstwhile Doda has been a victim of apathy due to gross injustice done against this region and its people the successive regimes for the past so many decades. He claimed that in order to end this injustice and save the people of the erstwhile Doda region from further victimization, there is a dire need to increase the number of Assembly seats in this district.
Dr Manyal said that the BJP cadre of Doda is fully prepared for the forthcoming Assembly elections and assured to make all possible efforts in order to achieve a thumping victory for the party in Doda district in these elections.
Neelam Langeh, former MLA said that district Ramban was the most neglected district in this region, but during these seven years and as MLA of Ramban, he tried his level best to develop this Assembly segment as well the areas of the district which were neglected since long.
