POONCH, July 27: In a special drive launched in Poonch city, Mendhar and Surankote towns in last two days, the teams from local administration challaned scores of traders for over charging, selling sub-standard material and other violations.
In Poonch town the team led by Executive Officer PMC, Nissar, CAPD officicials and SHO Sanjeev Slathia challaned over a score of traders including vegetable vendors, Dhaba, tea- stall and meat shop owners and those running provision stores and recovered an amount of Rs 14,000 from them as fine. Nine domestic LPG cylinders were also seized.
In Mendhar, the party led by Ist Class Magistrate (Naib Tehsildar), TSO and SHO challaned nearly a score of traders and vegetable/ fruit vendors and imposed a fine of Rs 6200 on them. In Surankote also the local administration team challaned 42 traders and recovered on the spot fine from them.
