Manohar  urges youth to take part in sports activities

KATHUA, July 18: Terming sports as an essential element in maintaining a balance between mind, body and soul, former minister and president DCC Kathua Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today exhorted upon youth to adopt extra-curricular activities for their personality development.
While chairing the prize distribution function of on-going Shaheed Narayan Dutt Memorial Cricket tournament at Dhalli, Dayalachak, Dr Sharma exhorted upon the youth  to take inspiration from key sportspersons  and take part in sports of their interest to create a niche for themselves.
He said that participation in sports can save our young generation from falling prey to the menace of drugs and stressed upon the role of teachers and the parents as well who can motivate their wards towards sports and other related constructive activities.
In the final match, Chandwan cricket club outplayed  cricket club Dhalli to lift the trophy.Total 32 teams participated in the tournament .He also thanked the organisers Youth Club Dhalli led by Parveen Sharma for organising such events and said them his doors are always opened for any assistance if required.
