KATHUA, Aug 2: Minister of State for Fisheries, Co operatives, Finance and Planning Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today the laid foundation stone of 25m span motorable bridge on Priya nallah at Kasheed in tehsil Billawar.
The construction of bridge on Priya nallah is to be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 119.30 lakh by the executing agency PWD (R&B).
Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma while addressing the gathering informed that the Government has taken various initiative for improving road connectivity in the rural areas and said that most of the road and bridges in Billawar are in the final stage or near completion and maintained that these projects will help redress the problem of road connectivity faced by people of rural areas.
On the occasion, Dr Sharma directed the concerned officers to ensure that the ongoing works of road from Ramkot to Alimadal are completed on time. He assured that in Kasheed upgradation of transformer 25KV to 63KV will be taken up.
