KATHUA, Apr 30: Minister of State for Cooperative, Fisheries, Printing and Stationary Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma today paid paid homage to Master Beli Ram, a renowned social reformer and educationist, at a function held here to commemorate his 106th birth anniversary.
The Minister recalled the selfless services of Beli Ram towards the cause of society and his contribution in the field of education. He exhorted upon the people to follow the high principles of such great personalities to help the society steer towards a better world to live in. He said that teachings of such people have more relevance in present times when the whole world is lurching in an era of chaos and confusion.
On the occasion, a cultural programme was also presented and prizes were distributed among the meritorious students and other participants.
MLC Subash Gupta was guest of honour on the occasion who also paid floral tributes to Master Beli Ram.
