BILLAWAR,  Aug 2: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has  strongly   condemns  the  highly dangerous statement of   Dy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh  on the killing of  known dreaded militant and Hizbul commander   Burhan Wani which was killed by security forces after hectic efforts during recent operation in Kashmir.
In a press statement here today, Dr Sharma said it is surprising yet true that inspite of appreciating the security forces Dr Nirmal Kumar Singh is demoralizing them by saying that the forces were not aware of the presence of  Burhan Wani at the hide-out during the operation and was killed accidently. Dr Sharma termed this statement as highly condemnable, shameful, anti- national and most demoralizing for the forces.
Congress leader said that J&K Police had announced Rs Ten lakh reward on the head of such a dreaded militant commander who was a major threat to the security of State as well as playing major role in recruiting and motivation of  Kashmiri youth towards militancy and Dr Nirmal Kumar Singh is seems to be presenting him as hero by his unfortunate and undesirable  statements by ignoring his constitutional responsibility towards the State as well as the Nation.
Dr Sharma further said that such type  of statements of Government will further deteriorate the condition and BJP-PDP  is solely responsible for the present crisis in the State. He said that the nationalist people of the State as well as the country feel betrayed by BJP by such type of pro-militant statements and slogans which will cost heavily to the security of the State as well as the country. Dr Sharma sought explanation from the State BJP  as well as Central leadership to come clear on their stand on militancy and the statement of  Dr Nirmal Singh and CM  Mehbooba Mufti over such sensitive security related issues and the killing of  Burhan Wani.
