Manohar convenes public grievance camp

KATHUA, Nov 27: In order to redress the grievances and problems of the people, the Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma convened a public grievance camp at village Lakhari in tehsil Billawar.
The representatives of the people of Lakhari Panchayat projected their demands regarding fresh BPL survey and inclusion of genuine families in the BPL list, street lights in the Gujjar backward basti, sheds at grave yards, quality medicine in the veterinary centers, electric poles, road connectivity, mobile Anganwari centre, Mobile Schools, CAPD ration, issue of new ration cards and teaching staff for schools.
Dr. Sharma, listened to the grievances and problems of people patiently and assured their redressal on the priority bases. Directions were issued to the CAPD to issue ration cards to the people so that they get the ration timely. Direction was also issued to the PDD to install electric poles.
While addressing the gathering, Dr. Sharma said that State Government is strengthening the educational and health infrastructure in the State and several schools have been upgraded and new health sub centres established in the district. He said that second phase of Rajiv Gandhi Garmeen Vidyutikaran Yojana will be started soon to electrify the left over villages in the district. He said that all the cases of the widow and old age pension have been cleared by the Government. He added the State Government is committed to the equitable development of all the three regions of the State viz Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh besides providing equal employment opportunities to the unemployed youth.
