Mankotia urges Governor to constitute Delimitation Commission

UDHAMPUR, Dec 23: Urging the Governor for constitution of De-limitation Commission in the State, former MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia today said that increase in the number of Assembly seats in Jammu region was need of hour to end the discrimination with this province.
While addressing a series of public gatherings at Neeli-Naala and Garnai Panchayat of Udhampur constituency, Balwant Singh Mankotia said that delimitation of Assembly constituencies has not been done since 1985. He said that Governor of J&K is competent according to the Constitution of the State to set-up Delimitation Commission urgently so that all the three regions namely, Ladakh, Kashmir Valley and Jammu Pradesh shall get adequate and just share of representation in the Assembly
Mankotia also alleged developmental failure of Udhampur constituency and said that leadership crisis was the reason for paralyzed developmental scenario of Udhampur. He said that the Udhampur MLA in last Assembly totally ignored the basic regular demands of general public.
On the occasion, Mankotia also felicitated newly elected Sarpanchs/Panchs and appealed locals to strengthen Panthers party in upcoming elections for the overall development.
