Mankotia decides to call off ‘Annshann’

JAMMU, Oct 9: MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia today decided to call off the “Annshann” at Kali Mata Mandir (Rehambal), which he started on October 2, 2014 to pressurize the Government to take immediate steps for distribution of ration to the flood affected families.
As the Chief Minister has issued the order to all the Deputy Commissioners of the State to disperse all the relief material to the flood and rain affected families of the State within a week’s time, following which distribution of ration stored in Udhampur district for last one month has been started, he is going to end his “Annshann”, Mankotia said.
He said as he is under medical observation and doctors have advised him to remain admitted in hospital, as soon as he is discharged from the hospital, he will leave for the said temple to end his fast there.
Mankotia further said that the protest has been suspended only up to the ‘Karva Chouth Vrat’.
