Manjit Singh pays tributes to martyr

SAMBA, Sept 18: Apni party, provincial president and former Minister, Manjit Singh today remembered the martyr of Uri who laid down his life in the line of duty two years back.
Manjit Singh accompanied by the family members including wife of the martyr, Ravi Pal and his son garlanded the statue of the soldier at village Sarva in Ramgarh tehsil of Vijaypur in Samba district.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh said that martyrdom of the soldier will be remembered for centuries and he has become an inspiration for the young generation.
“We are living in peace because of the soldiers who defend our borders and fight enemies within the nation. They save our life and property by putting their own lives to risk,” he added.
He said that “We should not forget the sacrifices and courage of our soldiers who always stand guard defending the boundaries of the nation at the cost of their lives.”
Speaking on the fourth death anniversary of the martyr, the former Minister appealed to the youth to fight against the drug addiction and make others aware about its harmful effects.
“The young generation must know about their martyrs and the purpose of their martyrdom. The youth should work for nation building,” he added.
